Where Will I Sleep Tonight?
"Where Will I Sleep Tonight?" is a question women and children experiencing homelessness ask every day. The rest of us, rarely contemplate this - the warmth of our own bed is simply a part of our daily routine.
We invite you to join us on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, for the second annual Where Will I Sleep Tonight? event benefiting the Catherine McAuley Center. #wherewillIsleep?

Expanding upon last year’s virtual event, the Center is pleased to announce the second annual Where Will I Sleep Tonight? will begin at 4 p.m. with a public streaming event highlighting the people and organizations who work in cooperation with the Catherine McAuley Center to provide an array of programs and services for our neighbors experiencing or at risk of homelessness and poverty. Shining together, this constellation of people and organizations that bring light to the darkness make our community a brighter place to live, work, and play. Those who take the pledge to spend the night somewhere other than their own beds (e.g. couch, backyard, a relative’s floor) will receive a link to gather virtually from 7 to 10 p.m. for an interactive evening of games, learning, sharing, stories, and fun. Registration is only $10 per individual or $40 for a group or family of any size. While The Center does not expect to recreate the experience of homelessness in a single night, event organizers urge the community to come together in solidarity with families experiencing homelessness to raise awareness of the daily struggles they face. Proceeds raised will benefit housing and supportive services for families experiencing homelessness here in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties. A variety of sponsorship packages are available for businesses and organizations able to support the event through financial or in-kind donations.
