The Catherine McAuley Center offices and its properties stand on the traditional land of the Lenni-Lenape, the Munsee, the Shawnee and the Susquehannock people. We are grateful to those original inhabitants of this land who stewarded our forests, fields, air and water with love and respect to future generations. This, despite forcible removal and relocation by European colonizers and powerful Americans who systematically attempted to destroy native cultures. 

 

We stand in allyship against the invisibility and erasure faced by Native peoples as we work to ensure shelter as a human right and to correct the injustices of institutionalized racism that contribute to poverty, eviction, and homelessness.
