The Catherine McAuley Center is working with Friends of the Poor and Catholic Social Services to distribute gifts to as many families in need as we can reach this holiday season. Qualifying families not already enrolled in The Center's Adopt-A-Family program can choose from one of two gift giveaways in December. Registration for the Dec. 7 gift event opens at 9 a.m. on Nov. 2, and is limited to the first 750 families to register.

Holding a holiday donation drive? Do you have new, unwrapped toys, games, or other gift items to give? Call The Center at 570-342-1342 for suggestions or to schedule a drop-off.

The Adopt-A-Family Program is an ideal service project for clubs, organizations, churches, and schools that wish to help local families in need. The host family/organization will be provided with a Wish List, which will include suggested gift ideas for the adopted family. The host family/organization will then purchase gifts for the family, wrap and tag all presents, and deliver them to the Catherine McAuley Center. Individuals and organizations may also choose to make a financial contribution in support of the Adopt-A-Family Program.
The Catherine McAuley Center serves as the link between the donor and the recipient family. All donations go directly to the needy families who enroll in the program.
The Center will host a Toy & GIft Giveaway on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, for families who are not able to register for the Adopt-A-Family Program or the Friends of the Poor/Catholic Social Services gift program in early Dec. 7-8. More information will be shared on this page when it becomes available.
