30 Day Emergency Housing

The Catherine McAuley Center operates two (2) thirty (30) day residences for homeless women and children:

Purpose

To provide a temporary residence to women and their children who are in crisis, which leaves them homeless.

Eligibility

Applicants must be residents of Luzerne County for at least six (6) months; women must be homeless without substantial resources and for reasons other than domestic violence, drug & alcohol free, physically and emotionally able to care for their children, and willing to assist with household tasks and cooperate in a shared living situation.

The Annex Scranton, PA

Purpose

To provide a temporary residence to women and their children who are in crisis, which leaves them homeless.
